I am in my final year of my PsyD. Program in Clinical Psychology through George Fox University, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). I am completing my full-time APA-accredited doctoral internship with Morrison Child and Family Services while concurrently completing a placement here at Mindsights as an adjunct training component to the internship.
During my doctoral studies, I have been fortunate to receive clinical training in a variety of settings and with a diverse set of clients. These training experiences have included conducting individual, group therapy, and psychological assessments primarily for children and adolescents within a rural school district; and delivering culturally-specific clinical treatment and interventions at a community mental health clinic which emphasizes the development and implementation of a trauma-informed treatment through individual and group therapy to adults and adolescents. Collectively, my clinical experiences have given me the opportunity to expand the breadth and depth of my professional interests, which focus largely on understanding attachment theory, trauma, and how relational dynamics can inform intervention and treatment of children and adolescents, helping them heal from the impacts of trauma and develop healthy functioning across several areas of life. My passion for a dynamic, interpersonal, and systems-level intervention continues to drive my commitment to quality, trauma-informed care as well as advocacy for children and their families.
