I believe that children do well if they can. I also believe that adults caring for kids do best when they have more information about the child. As such, I view my role as someone who answers questions and provides a global conceptualization of the child and their functioning to help guide interventions and daily interactions. I have been passionate about working with children, their families, and other systems since 2007, drawing on my years as a summer-camp counselor. My experience includes working within multiple school districts to provide therapy directly to students, consult with teachers and staff, and facilitate IEP processes. I have also worked in community mental health and private practice settings to provide individual therapy, parent consultations, and psychological assessment.

I earned my doctorate of clinical psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Prior to joining Mindsights for my post-doctoral residency, I completed the APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program at HealthPoint through the National Psychological Training Consortium, Cascade Region in Seattle, WA. While there I worked closely with medical staff in a primary care setting to consult on mental health issues, provide brief interventions, and support immigrants and refugees in gaining citizenship and increase health literacy.
