Erikjone Cruz, Psy.D.

About Erikjone, Psy.D. (he/him/his)
I earned my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University’s School of Graduate Psychology (SGP). I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department in Houston, Texas, where I provided forensic-related psychological services (in English and Spanish) for adolescents involved with the juvenile justice system.
Though I have provided psychotherapy and psychological assessments for various age groups and presenting concerns over the course of my training, my clinical interests primarily include understanding the intersection of trauma and involvement with the juvenile justice and foster care systems; particularly, for Spanish-speaking youth. My focus with assessments is to highlight a child’s unique set of life-experiences, intersecting identity factors, strengths, and needs, in order to provide appropriate evidenced-based recommendations that will improve their overall functioning and quality of life.
