Erika Sample, Psy.D.
About Erika (she/they)
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology and completed my post-doctoral residency at MindSights. I completed my internship at the APA-accredited internship program at AHRC NYC, in New York, New York. While at AHRC NYC I provided psychotherapy and assessments for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My clinical interests include psychological testing as well as understanding the intersections between neurodiversity and other areas of diversity (e.g., gender, culture, race, language, etc.)
Over the course of my doctoral training I have provided a range of psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on the evaluation and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disabilities. I believe assessments can be a powerful psychological intervention. A comprehensive and strengths based evaluation can help individuals and families gain a better understanding of their unique strengths and areas of difficulty, as well as provide a roadmap for growth.
