Freda Bax, Psy.D.
About Freda (she/her/hers)
I earned my Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University, and am licensed as a Psychologist by the Oregon Board of Psychology. During the course of my training, I focused on working with children and families. I have provided mental health services to children and adults for over 15 years, in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers and residential treatment facilities, among others. Once licensed as a psychologist, I have provided therapy and psychological evaluation services for children with a focus on neurocognitive, executive functioning, learning, and trauma assessment and treatment.
Over the years, I have developed expertise and training in several specialty areas, including: child emotional and behavioral disorders; chronic childhood trauma; neurodevelopmental disorders; learning styles and cognitive processing; attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder; and attachment and relational functioning. Dr. Borg and I founded MindSights in 2013 to expand our individual psychological assessment services, to develop an interprofessional team, to serve a greater portion of the large number of referrals coming our way, and to contribute to the training of future psychologists.
