Nandita Kumar, PsyD
About Nandita (she/her)
Hi there! I earned my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on child psychology from Pacific University in 2022. Before entering my current role as a licensed psychologist, I trained at MindSights for my postdoctoral residency. I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Monterey County Behavioral Health, in which I worked with children, adolescents, and families involved in dependency court. My graduate training focused on providing therapy and assessment to children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health centers, private practice, and primary care clinics across the Portland Metro area.
Throughout my training, my focus has been on providing services in both English and Spanish to children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds. My interests lie in working with people who have cognitive, neurodevelopmental, social-emotional, and academic concerns, along with working with those who have experienced trauma.
My goal in conducting psychological assessments with youth is to identify and bolster each child’s unique set of strengths, to support them in their growth and development process, and to promote a shared understanding of ways to nurture a child’s well-being.
